LESSONS

Kelly invites his students and training clients to ride beside him as he trains horses with all types of ability and levels of accomplishment. He teaches individuals who want to become better equestrians, more successful at the regional horse show, and campaigners for the world and futurity shows. His experience as a lifelong competitor and judge give him insight and credentials to assist riders from many disciplines.

Kelly is as patient, consistant, and persistant with his students as he is with his horses in training. He is able to assess the level of each rider and design a training program personally for them; usually complete with homework and drills to work on between lessons. Students not only learn how to address their needs/goals, but they also learn from Kelly how to train and fix challenging horses in varying situations.

Reining is Kelly's passion and profession, so look for the San Up Farm trailer and brand at a NRHA show and you will find Kelly surrounded by his students riding at all levels of competition. Kelly coaches Green Reiners and Non-Pros through all aspects of showing. He stands with each rider to review their performance with constructive criticism and optimistic understanding. When the Open classes begin, you'll find his students cheering in the stands for their teacher, mentor, and friend.
